2019 EIE Finalists
The Excellence in Editing Award celebrates newly released books that are superbly written, well edited, and published by a CBA publisher or self-published by a Christian author. The Christian Editor Connection is pleased to announce the following books as Finalists in the 2019 Excellence in Editing Award:

- Free Us from Bullying: Real Solutions beyond Being Nice by Paul T. Coughlin, published by Leafwood Publishers, edited by Mary Hardegree (freelance) and Rebecka Scott (in-house)
- The Light Shines Through: A Story of Hope in the Midst of Suffering by Sara Walker with J. Heyward Rogers, published by Leafwood Publishers, edited by Gene Shelburne (freelance) and Rebecka Scott (in-house)
- A People Chosen: God’s Purpose and Plan for Israel and the Nations by Karen Engle, published by East Gate Editing, edited by Karen Engle
These entries have advanced to the third and final review round.

Winners will be announced on the CEC Facebook page at 1 p.m. EDT on June 1, 2019. Winners will receive award plaques, stickers for their winning books and promotions, a 14-day Celebration Book Tour package donated by Celebrate Lit Publicity Group, and will be featured in a Christian PEN blog article.
